In 1988 Vitranschart seafarers - the first Vietnamese seafarers, disembarked on foreign shipowners' ships.

In the early 90's, in order to professionalize and meet the needs of international seafarer supply, Vitranschart Company leaders submitted to the Vietnam Maritime Administration a plan to establish a department specializing in management, training and leasing seafarers for foreign ship owners.

Southern Crewmanning Center - SCC, the predecessor of today's SCCM Company was formed under Decision No. 159 dated March 17, 1994 of the Vietnam Maritime Administration.

SCC was responsible for providing seafarers for Vitranschart's 20 ships at that time and also hiring seafarers for foreign ship owners. The main market in this period is the Evergreen shipping line and SCC seafarers often "mix" (working together with seafarers from the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia...). There was a period when SCC seafarers worked on 25 ships of this Taiwanese container shipping group.

Entering the 21st century, SCC boldly expanded the Japanese market in the Bulk Carrier, General Cargo ship segment... and regularly maintained 12-20 ships of DCKK, DCNK and other Japanese shipowners.

From the days when partners only assigned SCC equipment from the Chief Officer, Second Engine and below until they trusted and handed over the entire ship to SCC, it was a process of learning and creativity for the crews who professional and skilled training.
